No Kill Nation, Inc. is a national no kill advocacy and shelter reform organization dedicated to ending the unnecessary and systematic killing of companion animals within our nation’s shelter system through awareness and education. Based on the No Kill Equation model together with “Reforming Animal Control In Your Community Through Effective Political Advocacy”, a publication of RESCUE50 (Five-O) written by Ryan Clinton, we offer all of the “”tools” necessary for the No Kill activist in any community.

Shelters hide behind the excuses of pet overpopulation, a lack of resources and their “culture of killing”, and through the use of the No Kill Equation, a proven 1o-step system of shelter reform, these excuses are knocked down one by one. By implementing the steps found in “Reforming Animal Control…Through Effective Political Advocacy” guide we  will realize our end goal of building No Kill communities;  counties, states and eventually a No Kill Nation. No Kill Nation, Inc. serves to educate and inspire animal lovers across the country to join our movement.

Our Facebook page and website serve as the confluence of our mission, where No Kill advocates can learn, network, share ideas, pass on success stories, engage in discussions, plan events and engage with one another on multiple levels. Through our education and leadership efforts, we raise awareness and offer the individual and the group the “tools” of the tenets of the No Kill movement  to ensure a better world and a bright future for our nation’s companion animals. This blog will serve as a source for breaking news, commentary on recent issues, informational resources and more for our followers and interested No Kill advocates.

It is fantastic to see the amazing progress of the No Kill movement in the last year! This is really taking off! My suggestion to all is to make sure that books about No Kill are available at your public library. Put in a request to purchase (I can do this online with my library) for Nathan Winograd’s book, as well as for Tribe, a leadership book which talks about No Kill. I rate these books on the library website, which draws other library users to these live protecting ideas.
